The Viking Contemporary 3-Ply Stainless Steel 5.2 Quart Dutch Oven has conical, Windsor-pan inpsired sides, angled out to ensure more room for evaporation while more heat is retained by the walls - resulting in faster cook times. Internal markings on this cookware in both US and metric units make measuring easier, vented glass allows you to monitor your cooking progress while preventing boil overs. Along with the ergonomic grip that stays cool, this cookware product heats up to 600°F/315°C (400°F/204°C with lid). Like all Viking Contemporary cookware, this pan is constructed with an aluminum layer sandwiched between two layers of 304 stainless steel - for exceptional heat transfer while making the cooking pan durable and usable on all cooktops including induction.
